1. My close friends in high school called me Mel; my family called me Missy. Can you guess my given name?
2. At risk of dating myself, I played with a Mrs. Beasley doll when I was  4 years old. If you don’t know Mrs. Beasley, Google it.
3. I can remember my teachers’ names from kindergarten through twelfth grade; my kids know their teacher’s name too — Mommy!
4. My husband and I hail from Indiana. It is a mystery how we ended up living near Washington D.C.
5. I have lived in England and Germany.
6. I went to school in England.
7. I spent a summer in Nantes, France with a lovely family, with whom I was recently reunited through Facebook.
8. I met my husband while working at Hardee’s.
9. I broke my wrist while playing the Hokey Pokey. It’s a long story.
10. I studied Spanish, French & German throughout high school.
11. My husband is younger than I am.
12. My husband, my younger daughter and I have the same favorite color – blue.
13. Most of my husband’s family live in Alaska; we have only lived on Alaska Road.
14. When I met my husband, he drove a black Ford EXP; I drove a Mercury Topaz. By some bizarre coincidence, our ignition keys were exchangeable.
