Welcome to my blog!
We’re Joseph and Melissa! I am a homeschooling mom of three girls – Rachel, Hannah and Rebecca – and I love it! Our family chose to homeschool because I know my children best and can design and deliver a solid curriculum that is tailored to each child’s academic needs and personal interests. We believe that learning happens everyday and everywhere, and that’s what I blog about!
Professionally, I have worked in the field of education since my undergraduate studies. In 1996, I began working for a nationally accredited, K-12 home school. I am currently employed as adjunct online faculty and teach English composition. I have taught undergraduate ESL and ENG composition courses as well as graduate-level EDU and TESOL courses. I mentored for the Online Teaching Consortium Teaching Certificate Program.
I hold a Ph.D. in Education from Capella University, an M.S. in curriculum, instruction, & technology from Nova Southeastern, and an M.A. in English from George Mason University, a B.A. in French from Earlham College.
